Listat, Berisha: The most transparent process that has taken place in the DP. The SP candidacies are being determined by crime

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, convened the party leadership a few hours before the deadline for submitting lists of candidates for deputies for the May 11 elections. He said that the DP list for these elections will be the most important decision of this 4-year term.

"This is an extremely important moment, a great merit of the DP membership, its leaders in the DP branches and at the center, its deputies and what I can tell you is that this process stands at the full height of the main objective of the DP, Greater Albania. This is the most transparent process that has ever been developed in the history of the DP, with the widest possible participation, with the representation of all feelings, all layers, sub-groups, groups, communities of Albanian society. But these candidates for deputies have the advantage because they are at the same time representatives of the most powerful coalition that Albania has known in 32 years. This coalition that unites about 25 parties, which without the DP, represent almost a third of the Albanian electorate.

"This constitutes a powerful advantage for the Alliance for Greater Albania and the DP, an advantage that has deeply depressed the opposing side, which is in fact in real chaos," Berisha said.

He accused Prime Minister Rama of appointing candidates entirely in collaboration with crime clans in Albania. "The last socialists who were left in that party have also been thrown out and replaced with exponents of the criminal world or cousins, cousins, etc., etc. Threats are the basic method of appointing deputies to the lists. So, in case Rama wanted to wash his hands of Gjiknuri, Gjiknuri sent him an envelope not with money, but with photos of McGonigail. And Gjiknuri returned to the lists. I gave this example of how the list is being appointed on the other side. I can give you other examples full of how the notorious Ceno Klosi excluded the never-so-wise socialist, Petro Koçi.
