Arben Malaj, invited to the "Off the Record" studio by Andrea Danglli, on A2 CNN, stated that in our country today we can talk about autocracy and not about democracy.
"Today there is talk of autocracy and this has been confirmed by many reports. But, it is not just an Albanian phenomenon, but is found in many countries, such as Hungary, Turkey and Russia. The bad thing is that our leaders think that they should stay in power as long as possible because there is no one else to take over the government. When you are in government, you have many opportunities to misuse power. In our time, we had many difficulties, but the government was very democratic, in the party and in the country. The thesis was "we will share power to make a state". Now, as a colleague of mine told me, "they are stealing power to not make a state". I am not talking only about this government, but in our transition", said Malaj.
According to him, the key to political rotation is "dividing the majority."
"Knowing that this is the only possibility, the opposition must do its utmost to create a front by creating a spirit of trust and with different political forces. But to create this, public credibility is needed," stressed Arben Malaj. (A2 Televizion)
