The investment agreement for the underwater connection of the energy distribution network with Italy in the Adriatic Sea, as well as for investments in increasing production from renewable sources in Albania, was signed today in the United Arab Emirates, between the Government of the Republic of Albania, the Government of the Republic of Italy and the Government of the United Arab Emirates.
The agreement, which was signed on the Albanian side by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Energy Belinda Balluku, unites the countries in a strategic alliance for renewable energy.
Earlier, during his speech at the Summit, the Prime Minister said that the agreement will serve to increase Albania's capacity as a key player in the region, based on its production of 100% renewable energy.
The signing ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Edi Rama, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, as well as representatives of the governments of the respective countries. (A2 Televizion)
