In addition to the government and the Socialist Party, Prime Minister Rama has also taken the reins of the Municipality of Tirana. In two days of meetings with the list of deputies and candidates, as well as with the municipality administration, A2 CNN learns that Rama has asked everyone to work on the ground, although he has repeated several times that he does not know if, or when, the capital's residents will be called to the ballot boxes ahead of time, since according to him, this decision also depends on other elements. "The reasons are known and I do not want to repeat them. They have made me closer to Tirana," said Rama.
Regardless of whether there will be elections in Tirana or not, Rama has ordered all his people to go out and meet with citizens. In these meetings, the Prime Minister has not hidden his dissatisfaction with the organization of work in the capital, describing Tirana as “a body with its intestines out”. “They will collect the concerns,” the Prime Minister said.
To get out of this impasse, Rama has found a mixed scenario of dividing work between ministers, local government and the list of MPs and candidates. A2 CNN has learned that the division will be made into four main blocks, where ministers will be at the head to conduct the analysis and bring proposals for their solution.
Ogerta Manastirliu and Arbjan Mazniku will analyze the administrative and resource aspects of the Municipality of Tirana. Belinda Balluku and Anila Denaj will focus on public services, while the audit of finances will be carried out by ministers Malaj and Ibrahimi. Blendi Gonxhja will photograph the situation with public spaces in the capital. “You have two weeks to bring the analysis,” the prime minister told the socialists.
The Prime Minister will also focus on freeing public spaces from illegal occupation in other municipalities. The head of government "threatened" the occupiers that, if they do not voluntarily withdraw, they will be treated as criminals.
Behind closed doors, Rama has made it clear to MPs and candidates that they will have to work to help the citizens who were voted out on May 11. No one should rest this summer. “No one should sleep because we have 83 mandates. Some are sleeping,” Rama said.
On this 61st anniversary of his birthday, Rama announced that meetings with local structures will not stop only in Vlora and Tirana, but will also continue in other municipalities, such as Durrës, Elbasan, Shkodra and Fier. (A2 Televizion)
