The EU Ambassador to Albania, Silvio Gonzato, after Durrës, has moved to Fier to closely observe the electoral situation, but also the cooperation between institutions.
According to him, the institutional cooperation agreement is functioning well, while every incident will be investigated by the relevant institutions.
"Today is an important day. In particular, regarding the elections that are taking place for the first time since the start of Albania's negotiations with the EU, important negotiations, so the message is for Albanians to go out and vote. Today I am not conducting election observation, but I am going to different areas and different polling centers to see how the voting is going and to create a sense of how the elections are going. The OSCE ODIHR mission is in Albania and they are conducting a very in-depth observation of these elections throughout Albania. They are observing the elections and any reporting will be analyzed and then they will provide their findings and recommendations. And this report will guide the analysis that we will do of the elections in Albania." (A2 Televizion)
