The Democratic Party has appealed the decision of the Central Election Commission to approve the preliminary results of the May 11 elections for the Kukës region, A2 CNN reports.
Despite the victory in this district, where the DP won 2 seats and the SP 1, the Democrats dispute the result.
The appeal comes after statements that the opposition will not recognize the overall results of the elections, as they were, according to it, an "electoral farce".
In the May 11 elections, the Socialist Party won a historic fourth term, securing a full 83 seats in the Albanian Parliament. While the Democratic Party won 50 seats. (A2 Televizion)
