The Democratic Party has reacted to the incident the day before at the polling station in Pogradec, where police handcuffed Democratic Party sympathizer Luan Tollozhina, who raped the socialist commissioner and a voter. The 63-year-old's grandchildren then raped his wife and son.
In a reaction on social networks, the political leader of the DP for the Korça region, Ivi Kaso, explains that this situation occurred after the provocations of the SP commissioner. According to Kaso, the Police acted unilaterally, prosecuting the DP commissioners, and no one from the other side. He demands the immediate release of the detainees and calls on the police to be impartial and professional.

Regarding the incident that occurred in Pogradec, which also involved members and sympathizers of the Democratic Party, we clarify that:
After repeated harassment and provocations by a Socialist Party commissioner at the "Esat Minarolli" school, the head of the group section, and father of the DP commissioners, Mr. Luan Tollozhina, went to the voting center.
The Rilinda commissioner continued the provocations with insulting terms, even towards the father of our commissioners, which led to a physical conflict.
The conflict continued outside the polling station and the police arrested citizen Luan Tollozhina, and after him his son, Aldo Tollozhina, his brother Roshi Tollozhina, two other commissioners, and declared two of their family members wanted.
We call on the Police and the Prosecution to be professional and impartial in their investigative actions.
Seven people, all DP commissioners, and no one from the other side, who were the initiators and causes of the conflict, were prosecuted.
We demand the immediate release of those detained, their return to their families, and the cessation of unilateral actions by the relevant bodies, while above all enforcing the law.
We have seen the bias of the Police and the Prosecution not only in Pogradec, but also in other areas of Albania.
This does not honor law enforcement agencies, which are supported by the taxes of all citizens, regardless of party affiliation.
