The counting of 54 ballot boxes in the Municipality of Shijak has been completed. In a direct link to A2 CNN, the mayor of the municipality, Elton Arbana, confirmed that the SP has received 2 thousand more votes than the DP in this municipality and there is an increase of 600 votes. According to him, the will of the Shijak people will not go to waste.
"We were expecting the result because a lot of work has been done in the Shijak municipality and the citizens had the right moment to evaluate the work in these years. The SP has won convincingly against the DP and I am hopeful that the will of the Shijak people will not go to waste. We will serve them as we have served them in these years."
In connection with the A2 CNN studio, Arbana expressed his hope for achieving a 9th mandate in the Durrës district, taking into account the vote of the diaspora.
"The municipality of Shijak is growing and if it also happens in the municipalities of Durrës and Kruja, we will maintain the 2021 result and let's not forget the diaspora vote. We have high expectations regarding the Durrës district. I am hopeful that the 9th mandate will also be achieved in Durrës. This is the last segment. A historic mandate for Rama to lead Albania to the EU. The people of Shijak have said no to the DP."
