The political leader of the Democratic Party for the Durrës region, Oerd Bylykbashi, has reacted after the completion of the vote counting process in this region, including those of the diaspora.
Through a Facebook post, Bylykbashi stated that in Durrës, Edi Rama failed to win a ninth term, receiving the same result as in 2021. According to him, this also shows the failure of the prime minister's prediction in the 'Kuçi Memorandum', where he predicted winning a ninth term.
Bylykbashi also writes that it is now the DP's duty to prove to the international community all the vote manipulation that the government has committed, so that, according to him, the government of Prime Minister Edi Rama does not end its fourth term.

The vote count for the Durrës district, including the diaspora, ended today.
I humbly and wholeheartedly thank every voter who voted for the DP, its coalition for the program and vision it offered: CHANGE.
I thank every democrat, member and sympathizer, who did not simply vote, but did their best to convince their family, friends, neighbors, and acquaintances that Albania cannot continue to be robbed by Edi Rama.
I thank those structures and leaders of the DP of Durrës, Shijak, Kruja and Fushë Kruja, for their work, beyond the aggression and pressures we faced, the difficulties and shortcomings we had in these difficult years. The DP is grateful and indebted to everyone who worked with sacrifice, without complaining.
I thank all the candidates, individually and in teams, for the campaign they did, door to door and hand to hand. It was an honor to be together in this battle. Thank you Gent Strazimiri, Igli Cara, Manjola Luku, Artan Luku, Arian Ndoja, Aulon Kalaja, Andia Ulliri, Edlira Harizi, Emri Vata, Skënder Dika, Viola Kapidani, Ilirjana Kuçana, Shyqyri Myrtollari, Jola Hysi, Ndrec Pjetri, Petro Vokopola, Adriatik Hoxha and Pëllumb Shullazi.
Without all of you, your work and your vote, Edi Rama would have achieved the objective of 9 mandates in Durrës, being among the few districts where the DP maintained the 2021 result. Thanks to our joint effort with faith, the DP and the opposition in the Durrës district are among the few cases that resisted the attack of Edi Rama's alliance and his political state with organized crime, the tens of millions of euros that the state threw and the same amount thrown by crime, patronage, pressures of any form, corruption with state money and favors.
Edi Rama also used the manipulation of the diaspora vote to seize the 9th mandate, as he declared with great certainty in Kuçi's "memorandum." He did not succeed. This is a fact. But it is no consolation, anyway.
These were not elections. These were anti-elections.
Beyond complaints, today we have a duty to document every violation and bring this charade to the courts but also to the international community. Edi Rama should not and will not see this mandate through. The DP and the opposition have an obligation to do this to Albanians who believe in free voting.
We need to analyze the gigantic criminal and state system we are facing and find solutions as leadership, in terms of political and organizational action, and in relation to society and public opinion. We need credible and sustainable decisions and solutions.
We must raise fair and credible causes for the free vote. The hybrid electoral system of the 2020 constitutional amendments that Rama made with Kërpërata must be abolished because it is unequal, unjust and toxic to democracy. Territorial reform must be redone. The diaspora vote cannot be killed with patronage. The impunity of the state-crime nexus must end.
But we also have a duty to analyze our mistakes. And this must and will be done from the top down.
A party with healthy collegiality, based on the principles of the statute of December 11, 2021, is the way forward. That stadium of December 11, 2021, full of hope and faith, is more than a fantastic image; it is a contract with moral obligations to democrats and Albanians.
In this difficult moment, clarity, responsibility and courage are the tracks that must guide us. What we do in the coming weeks and months will pave the way for the years to come. What we do now will resonate for a long time. For better or worse. I am confident that together we will find the right path.
