The vote counting for political entities in the entire Kukes region for 139 polling centers has been completed.
After the count ended earlier in the day in the Has municipality, the count has now also closed in the Tropoja and Kukës municipalities.
The Democratic Party secures victory and two mandates, while another one belongs to the Socialist Party. The DP received 18934 votes or 52.95%, the PS 10970 votes or 30.68%, while the PSD came third with 5061 votes or 14.51%. Tom Doshi's party had an extraordinary increase at the district level compared to the 2021 result (184 votes) by over 2650%, but despite this they failed to obtain a mandate in this district.
On the other hand, the DP had a contraction like four years ago without LSI over 24 thousand votes. Currently, the counting of candidates for the region is only continuing in Has. Tomorrow, the counting of votes for candidates in the municipalities of Kukës and Tropojë is expected to begin. At the region level, over 900 votes have been declared invalid.
