Sali Berisha dedicated Friday to pensioners. In one of the hotel halls in Tirana, he held a meeting with representatives of this group, where he outlined the Democratic Party's program for them.
"We will introduce a consumer card, which every pensioner and every low-wage earner will have and will receive a VAT refund of about 450 euros per year. We will expand the list of medicine reimbursements. We will reduce the price of electricity from 9.5, which was now, to 7. We will halve the water tariff for pensioners and low-wage earners."
The democratic leader did not stop at these promises, as he later spoke about pensioners from the blue headquarters at a media conference, where he also showed other relief measures for this group.
"Pensioners are not asking for free travel, but for half price, and I promise them half price travel throughout Albania. Pensioners will have the right to basic analyses, free of charge, every 6 months."
A2CNN asked the Democrat leader about the financial bill of his electoral program, where he talks not only about tax cuts but also about increased financial support in many sectors. Without giving concrete figures, Berisha guaranteed that everything is affordable.
"This money, first of all, will come from the major thefts that are being committed. The second major source where this money will be taken, and it is very fair, is that we have proven that tax cuts increase revenues. But the main source of revenue for fulfilling promises is the realization of public works at international prices."
According to the democratic leader, another source of income will be the fight against corruption and organized crime. (A2 Televizion)
