The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has stated that if the DP wins the May 11 elections, the next government will pay 1 year of social security to every entrepreneur who hires a young person.
Berisha made the comments during the presentation of the Alliance for Greater Albania candidates in Vora and Kashar, writes A2 CNN.
Berisha also said that the DP government will finance with soft loans any project of young people to build a small business, a start-up, to make it possible for them.
Excerpt from Berisha's speech:
We are here today to pledge that we will do everything for the education of your children, that the average will be removed. That the tuition fees will be divided by 3 or 4 times. That after studies, every young man and woman will be supported for employment. The government will pay 1 year of social security to the entrepreneur who will hire a young person.
The government will pay for everything, all the expenses for training young people before they start working.
The government will finance with soft loans any of their projects to build a small business, a start-up, it will make it possible for them. A roof for the couple, will be our commitment to them.
A roof for a couple means that the government will cover the entire interest on the loan for buying a house for young people with a grant of 30 thousand euros. And that those who will have 3 children will have the loan paid in full by the government.
So, my friends, the Albanian family after May 11 will have other opportunities.
The minimum wage will never be below 500 euros. Every entrepreneur will be compensated with tax cuts for the increase in the minimum wage to 500 euros. The average wage will be 1200 euros. But wages above the minimum, all of which, with a single government decision, will increase by 13%, because we will reduce the personal income tax from 23% to 10%.
A lot will be invested in new opportunities for education.
Today, education is in a real upheaval, in a big upheaval, in a sadly bigger upheaval in the world, and I would never want to say such a thing. But, there is a proof, there is a test, that the organization of developed countries, the OECD, does, and our children in this test of 2006-2013, in this test they came out with a vertical climb.
Whereas, for the period 2016-2023, they showed the biggest drop in the world, with a drop of 69 points in mathematics, one of the basic subjects. In the most recent drop in creative thinking. Why is this, friends? Because they destroyed education. Because they merged classes without any criteria. Because they stole all the computers. Because, from the internet in every school that we installed, internet purchased entirely from satellites, at a very high cost, today in Albanian schools there is only 5% internet.
So, where should higher education go?
Teachers, from teachers of knowledge, of education, brought militants to the party, and dealt the most severe blows to education.
