On the day of the opening of the Murriz tunnel, Sali Berisha expressed his criticism of the project. At a press conference held by the Blue Party headquarters in Tirana, the democratic leader wished the project success, but claimed that the recommendations of international companies have not been respected.
"In my assessment, the tunnel was built in violation of the conditions and recommendations of the most prestigious companies in the field, including Danish companies, etc. I wish once again that it will be successful in the end. But the area is really problematic," said Berisha.
Berisha also showed the infrastructure projects of the Democratic Party if it comes to power after May 11. "The absolute priority will be the expansion of the Tirana-Durrës highway. Two, the Milot-Shkodër highway, which after the National Road, has the largest traffic in Albania except for the Tirana-Durrës traffic. The Elbasan bypass, a work that will begin immediately, for which we have the project ready."
The Alliance for a Greater Albania coalition, Berisha asserted, will not stop only at these projects, but will also invest in the railway network.
"The Tirana-Pristina railway is the most major project after the National Highway. The Ring Road of Albania will be another major infrastructure project. In other words, the Ring Road urbanizes the entire outskirts of Albania. It makes it possible for every municipal center in the old division to be connected to the national axes in 20 minutes."
There was a call for all citizens to join this Saturday's protest against the closure of TikTok.
