From the third Diaspora Summit, Prime Minister Edi Rama has declared that very soon November 22, the day of the alphabet of the Albanian language, will be an official holiday for Albania. In his speech before the guests, the head of the government said that this was a proposal from the head of state, Bajram Begaj, for which he more than agreed. He even invited Kosovo to do the same.
"I agree with the president. I think that language day should be a national holiday in Albania as well. I even invite the president of Kosovo to propose to the prime minister. I listen to the president for myself", said Rama, causing laughter in the hall, among them Vjosa Osmani and Bajram Begaj.
The alphabet was unified during the Congress of Manastir, otherwise known as the Congress of the Alphabet. Between the dates November 14 - November 22, 1908, an academic conference was held in the city of Bitola, for the standardization of the alphabet of the Albanian language. (A2 Televizion)
