Prime Minister Edi Rama again attacked the judiciary during inspections of works for the Northern Public Transport Terminal in Tirana.

Rama indicated that the terminal project, although initiated 10 years ago, has gone through a series of obstacles that have delayed its implementation. "Today is an important stop because I want the citizens of Tirana to hear the ordeal of this project, which was promised in the past and in 2015 when the change happened and Tirana was reawakened, the project was put into process and financed. Today we are in 2025 and it has been 6 months since the process began because for almost 10 years the municipality of Tirana, the citizens of Tirana have been dragged away by completely insensitive and irresponsible judges. Just as entire families are being dragged away to the combine or other points, not only in Tirana, by insensitive and irresponsible judges, who are not worthy citizens of this republic and who unfortunately have the power to make decisions about the fate of this republic, who do not want to know about public interests, who do not want to know about rules and laws. "And finally this terminal is on the road to construction," said Prime Minister Rama, reports A2 CNN.

"This was a swamp. From a swamp to a bus depot, where you couldn't tell who was the bus, who was the person, who was the passenger, who was the driver, where the road was, where the swamp was. Now the swamp here has dried up. And that's how we will dry up the swamp and every swamp that is connected to the swamp like here. But it's a shame that we lost 10 years because of the tricks, games and irresponsibility of some judges. Now the terminals here will be like Europe. A very long terminal, with all the facilities, with seats, with electronic departure and arrival boards, with services, with electronic ticketing. The buses will be parked nicely and neatly. There will be no more mud, no more potholes, no more frogs and toads and this whole service will move to another level. I believe within this year.

This life has taught me to take into account what can happen unexpectedly, so let's say that for Christmas those who will come to Tirana from abroad or those who will want to go abroad by bus to the south will have a terminal like the whole of Europe. This is very good news, a great liberation. And this definitely increases the values of the neighborhood, increases the values of the property as for all those who have houses, those who will buy houses later and gives another dimension to the connection of Tirana with Kamza. Because now not only Kamza, but also Durrës are part of a metropolis, they will be completely united in the coming years,” said the Prime Minister.

With the works completed so far, the terminal has a square that serves as a stop for buses heading to destinations in the central area, with a capacity of 30 departure places for the southern area; 19 departure places for the northern area; 5 places intended for passenger drop-off; and 45 places intended for parking.
