Prime Minister Rama continues to intensify his attacks on the Special Anti-Corruption Structure, this time in the "Sy m'sy" column, where he answers citizens' questions.
While reiterating his stance on unwavering support for SPAK, Edi Rama was critical of the establishment of a new Task Force by SPAK to investigate electoral crimes.
According to Rama, parties cannot be monitored in an electoral process, while he described the announced field monitoring as something he hopes will be a momentary distraction.
"There is no other alternative than an independent judiciary that respects human rights. We must all fight together to consolidate it. There are many positive things, but also many negative ones. Even one case where a person's life is destroyed due to professional stupidity is too many. Access by the former state security cannot be allowed.
"We must be determined, the administration cannot be pressured, political parties cannot be monitored in the electoral process. I believe that it is a mistake of the moment and to immediately stop the monitoring on the ground. We cannot return to a dark period. Investigations for electoral crimes, each in their own position. We cannot get out of the trenches," Rama said.
Earlier, the Special Prosecution Office also published a strategic plan to establish offices in the regions and pursue issues related to possible electoral crimes during the May 11 elections. (A2 Televizion)
