Locked in a detention cell in Durres, Mayor Erion Veliaj has written another letter, exploding with accusations and insults against the prosecutor and the judge of his case. Veliaj, like Ilir Meta, believes that justice has taken him hostage, without having any evidence to handcuff him.
"The job was done, they with anonymous letters and security methods, me with letters from prison, where they took me hostage without trial. I am still a suspect, because they have not been able to make me a defendant, because they do not have a single fact, not even in Ols Dado's security file. There is not a single line there where it can be said that I asked for or received a bribe from someone or that any unjustified lek was found. But, in the meantime, I am accused of corruption," Veliaj writes.
The Mayor of Tirana recalls the socialists' claim that the Prosecutor and Judge in the case are at the service of Sali Berisha.
"In the Erjon Bani slaughterhouse, because the courtroom is not the only place where I asked for Ols Dado to be removed from the case and put in the file as a prosecutor who used the tax-paid phone to request a building permit for himself. Meanwhile, I have nothing to say about my namesake judge. I became one with the prosecutor and was impatient to finally give Sali the good news of my hostage-taking without trial," he added.
Just a few minutes after Veliaj's reaction, Prime Minister Rama also took to Facebook. Recently passionate about wildlife, he offered a description of the marsh owl, a name he also uses for his political rival, the head of the opposition.
"The short-eared owl is a nest robber, which is also considered a danger to domestic birds. It lives among reptiles and amphibians, with which it also quenches its hunger. Its body accumulates pesticides and poisons against rodents, which makes it poisonous itself. It is also considered a very hostile species to diversity," said Rama.
After 4 intense days, from visits to the municipality, to political defense for Veliaj or to attacks on SPAK, this Friday Edi Rama will put on the Prime Minister's suit to travel to Germany where he will represent Albania at the Munich Security Conference.
