Prime Minister Edi Rama met on Tuesday with Christine Grahn, TikTok's head of Government Relations and Public Policy for Europe, during the World Economic Forum in Davos.

"We outlined the concerns that led us to the decision to temporarily close access to the platform from Albania, and we also listened to possible ways for the company to address them," Rama wrote in a Facebook post, A2 CNN reports.

Rama meets with TikTok official in Davos: In the absence of guarantees, we will

"A completely open and constructive discussion, where we set several milestones of cooperation in the coming weeks and months, to ensure the reopening of TikTok at the most reasonable time, but of course with all the necessary guarantees, in the absence of which we are forced to close access to the platform soon."

Following the tragic murder of 14-year-old Martin Cani on November 18 last year, near the “Fan Noli School”, by a peer, and after a consultation with parents and teachers across the country, the government decided to block access to TikTok for Albania. However, the decision has not yet come into effect. (A2 Televizion)
