Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha closed every door to cooperation with Prime Minister Edi Rama to work against the new justice system, after declaring that his stance on dissolving SPAK had been taken out of context.
From the parliamentary group meeting, the democratic leader claimed that Rama is trying to draw an analogy between his positions and the majority against justice, but added that he will never unite his votes with the majority.
"This party will never join votes with Edi Rama for any kind of measure against the justice system," said Democratic Leader Sali Berisha, writes A2 CNN.
However, according to him, justice needs reform, but changes will be made only after consultation with the Venice Commission, promising that there will be zero tolerance in the fight against corruption.
"There cannot and should not be a political prosecutor. This will not be done in any other way than through the Venice Commission," Berisha continued.
Berisha also commented on the meeting of the SP parliamentary group, which turned into a hearing for the rector of the Agricultural University of Tirana, regarding the accusations raised by SPAK against 34 officials of this institution.
"The rector badly beat up the university because when you think about washing or crying about an affair in the thieves' refuge, you should think 5 times before entering there," said the former prime minister.
The opposition leader once again addressed the absence from duty of the Secretary General of the Prime Minister's Office, Çngjëll Agaçi, who is officially abroad for health reasons, while Berisha believes that he has left to evade justice.
"Now Edi Rama is in the circle, he is in the red circle. Engjëll Agaç's laptop is becoming like Hunter Biden's laptop. Yes, he has made Agaç disappear. Because Agaç's laptop has been seized. And the laptop speaks and will speak endlessly," Berisha continued, writes A2 CNN.
Referring to developments coming from the US regarding the McGonigal dossier, Berisha promised that if he wins the elections after May 11, he will extradite Rama to stand trial there.
"This is our commitment. Otherwise, you could be tried in Albania before May 11," Berisha said.
