From January 1, Albania will take over the presidency of the Central European Initiative (CEI).
In a reaction on the X platform, Foreign Minister Igli Hasani said that while Albania takes the leadership of the CEI, it remains committed to advancing the CEI's goals for regional cooperation and EU integration.
"As Albania assumes the presidency of the Central European Initiative (CEI), we remain committed to advancing the mission and goals of CEI in promoting regional cooperation, EU integration and sustainable development. Acknowledgment to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova, Nicu Popescu, for the extraordinary work of the Moldovan CEI Presidency in supporting the candidate countries in their journey towards EU integration," Hasani emphasized .
