Prime Minister Edi Rama has stated that the Socialist Party aims to receive 1 million votes in the May 11 elections, including those of immigrants.
Rama made the comments during a meeting in Durrës, where he said that in this district, the PS aims for 9 parliamentary mandates, writes A2 CNN.
According to the chief executive, the Socialist Party is today at a point where it must finalize the process of Albania's integration into the EU.
He also added that today the Socialist Party is at the right moment and time, just like the Democratic Party in March 1992, when it was massively voted to end 50 years of communism.
"In 1992, not everyone was with the DP, but they voted massively because they wanted to close that page. But in March '92, Albanians did the right thing with history and voted massively. Today, we all have the right to seek a vote beyond the natural and traditional supporters of the SP. Therefore, we should aim not for 800 thousand votes, but for 1 million, including immigrants," said Rama, writes A2 CNN. (A2 Televizion)
