"We are not here for power", Mediu: Free Albanians are the force for

The leader of the Republican Party, Fatmir Mediu, was the first to speak from the stage set up in front of the Prime Minister's Office, at the national protest that the opposition is holding in Tirana.

He stated that the opposition people are in the square today to show Prime Minister Edi Rama that they are free and are not afraid of his power.

"We are all here together. We are not for power but for the state of the Albanians. We are in the name of our parents who dedicated their sacrifices and lives to us and who today the government mocks them with ridiculous pensions. We are in the name of the youth, of the intellectuals who have been deliberately driven by the government to the streets of the world so that people here do not have strength and a voice. We are here in the name of what we built and is being destroyed. We are the ones who opened the path of change to make Albania like the rest of Europe and who made Albania a member of NATO", said Mediu.

According to Mediu, "today's government wants, by selling propaganda, Albanians to believe that there is only one force and that is the government, the prime minister and the Socialist Party."

"The government is not the force, it is the free and united Albanians against crime and corruption to make a big difference," Mediu underlined. (A2 Televizion)
