The Chairman of the LZHK, simultaneously the leader of the 'Right for Development' coalition, MP Dashamir Shehi, has expressed his confidence in a positive result in the May 11 elections.
Shehi made the comments on 'Ditari i Mesditë' with journalist Denisa Pasholli on A2 CNN, where he said that he received 7-8 thousand personal votes in Tirana even 30 years ago. Today, when the population of Tirana has almost tripled, Shehi said that he claims more than one mandate as an MP, adding that his ambition is to create a parliamentary group.
He also said that he is confident of victory, as according to him, there are thousands of citizens in Albania who think like him, that this government and the Berisha opposition cannot continue.
"I have been without my allies and against my allies and I entered. I am more proud of them and I believe that this time I will enter and succeed, because there are thousands of Albanians who believe like me. Who think that a government that has been in power for 12 years has filled the cup.
Who think that even an opposition bloc that returns for the third and fourth time with the same stories and talk is not the best alternative for Albania. Therefore, even if we have come here, we have come not for a deputy seat, but to create a new political trajectory. I could have entered that deputy seat even with the Majlisi and taken it.
"Here in Tirana, you need 10,000 votes to become an MP. I have even more. I received 7-8,000 votes 30 years ago, not now that Tirana is three times larger in population," said Shehi, writes A2 CNN. (A2 Televizion)
