Berisha's son-in-law sues Alfred Moisiu for defamation in court, saying

Following the statements of former President Alfred Moisiu, yesterday evening on Andrea Danglli's "Off the Record" show on A2 CNN, regarding the "Partizani" case, Jamarbër Malltezi reacted today, saying that he will sue the former president in court for defamation.

In a Facebook post, he calls the statements of the former head of state, who said that the land of the Partizani Club was expropriated by the Italians and that justice should seek the documents in Italy, slander. In response to these statements, Malltezi accuses Moisiu of saying untruths on A2 CNN.

"The fact that the land was not expropriated is considered an officially recognized fact, as long as it was published in the official journals of the time of Italy as requisitioned and not expropriated land. (Requisition is occupation for a temporary period without changing ownership). That would be enough for anyone who respects the law, but especially for a former president, if he met the criteria of a statesman - respect for the law and not slander," writes Malltezi.

He reminds the former president of SPAK's investigations and research in Italian archives on this issue, which, according to him, proves that the land was never expropriated.

"For the concern of the former president who apparently no longer has the ability to follow details, I remind you that SPAK not only conducted 3 months of investigations in the Albanian Archives, but also made a request in the Italian archives from where it received over 10,000 pages of documents, which conclusively prove what is written in the official notebooks that that land has never been expropriated."

Describing former President Moisiu's statements as defamation, Malltezi said he will take him to court.

"The choice to humiliate oneself through slander is not a matter of age, but of character. To remove any public doubt on this matter, I publicly announce to Mr. Moisiu that since this is a known fact for him and since he cannot leave words unsaid, he will have the opportunity to prove or not, his slander in court."

Earlier, the former president of Albania, speaking on Andrea Danglli's "Off the Record" show on A2 CNN, said:

"The new justice system should be more careful, if you bring out the facts, they can't say that these things don't exist. Take the Partizani group of buildings, that was land purchased by the Italians. Now I don't know where the documents are."

"Nothing is done without documents. Even if they are not here, they are in Italy. The archives should go and get them, shut them up."

According to Moisiu, in the absence of a regular administration, the property can be sold several times, creating chaos and property insecurity: "To take it and sell it several times because the administration is not regular and cannot find the documents, this is not fair. Some things are done here that become obvious," said the former president.  (A2 Televizion)
