Prime Minister Edi Rama, at the FII (Future Investment Initiative) International Forum, declared that God saved US President Donald Trump also because, according to the Prime Minister, he also has a plan for Europe.
"I am extremely pleased to be here with a great leader, with a dear friend, the President of France, who is coming to Tirana for the second time in 18 months, after a 110-year period when no President had come to us. I am pleased, but I am also terrified because speaking in front of Emmanuel Macron is not the best thing that can happen to you in life. He comes from a previous life where he had to deal with investors, business people, capital, and I come from a life where I had to deal with colors and exhibitions," Rama initially said, A2 writes.
"I want to say that we are very proud of what we have achieved so far. No one would have imagined what is happening today, and yesterday, but I am talking about the imagination of 5 or 10 years ago. We have come a long way, we are now witnessing the results of the changes we are implementing. This is something that both gives us pleasure and terrifies us, because the responsibility is great and the demand for results at high levels is increasing. Yesterday we held a fantastic summit and we understood how complicated it is to organize a big event, but I think we did well. Even though in the western part of Europe they have done so many of these, in the end they think that the guests deserve fast food, while we offered them the top of gastronomy to make them feel as good as possible and I think we succeeded. We are here to convey the message that this country wants more and that this country needs more people to trust us", added the Prime Minister.
Edi Rama added: "The good thing about Albania is that we are good friends with many people. We want to be friends with the guests, we are partners of the US and the EU, but also blessed that we have blessed partnerships with the Emirates, Saudi Arabia... We have followed with admiration the vision of these countries. We are trying to learn from different realities and do our best to get the best out of them. We are aware that the times we live in are complicated. I believe and continue to believe that when Trump says that God saved him because he has a plan for America, he is telling half the truth. I believe that the other half is that God saved him because he has a plan for Europe as well. I want to share with you this conviction that when I heard the US President talk about a golden age, my feeling was that in fact, a golden age could also dawn for Europe. Everything will depend on how quickly we will think outside the box and act and understand that in this world everyone else is doing the same thing."
