Democratic Party MP Dashnor Sula, who will not be on this party's lists for MPs in the May 11 elections, spoke about the political situation in the country on Bruna Çifligu's Evening News on A2 CNN.
He said that compared to 4 years ago, this campaign has a big difference due to the electoral code. He emphasizes that candidates from both political sides have also approached him to collect votes.
"I am much calmer, observing more easily how the campaign is going. This campaign is very different from the 2021 one and because of the electoral code. I have noticed that the candidates on the closed lists are putting them to sleep, those on the open lists from both the SP and the DP are tracking and running for the easiest vote from their militants. It is easy for him to ask for votes from them. There is competition within himself and not with his political opponent. This is a very big problem. I have an influx of requests from left-wing candidates and right-wing candidates asking for votes. One from the mother and one from the stepmother does not work. You who are beautiful go to parliament without votes, I who am ugly must get votes. In the SP they have more competition among themselves. The heads of institutions have become in the service of certain candidates. This problem is happening and we are often hearing about these clashes. The conflict between ourselves will only come and will worsen.
"The DP should not have fallen into the majority trap. The DP should have had a different model than the SP," said Sula.
At one point after his internet connection is disconnected, Sula humorously returns, saying that he was stopped by the May 11 candidates, who are taking him for votes.
"I am a sought-after commodity in the market, I have nothing to do. For the leaders of the Democratic Party, I am a worthless commodity, but let's see how the result will turn out on May 11...", said Sula. (A2 Televizion)
