Former Albanian President Alfred Moisiu has made a critical comment on the way the opposition functions today. Invited to the show "Off the Record" with Andrea Dangli on A2 CNN, Moisiu said that its behavior often leads to a loss of trust among citizens.

"Not everything the opposition says is wrong, but the thing is that unfortunately in our country, the opposition stands up and criticizes everything. Even when it's good, it criticizes, but trust is lost, the weight of the word is lost. And the people are disoriented."

Moisiu also touched on the opposition's stance on major processes such as EU integration: "I don't know how, at a time when Albania's EU membership is being discussed, the opposition can warm up and say: No, we are not ready for this. To come out against your country... I understand that there are things that need to be fixed."

Moisi also criticized Prime Minister Rama: "We had a very good Constitution when I was president, but they made some changes. It seems to me that the separation of powers has disappeared. The Prime Minister is trying his best, but when you take on everyone, you will make mistakes. A person can carry 60 kilograms on his back, but if you take on 70 kilograms, your knees will break. But the people will solve it." (A2 Televizion)
