In these holy months for all Muslim believers, bringing examples of devotion to this faith, not only with rituals, but also with resistance when necessary, takes on another meaning. And when you say this, who better than the residents of the village of Dragostunje in Librazhd to show how they managed not to lose their faith under communist terror.
Hoxha Fatmir, in addition to expressing gratitude for the sacrifice of his ancestors in this village for preserving the faith, also reveals the difficulties and sacrifices they made to perform the rites at a time when it was not only forbidden, but also persecuted along with his family.
Another resident also tells of the provocations and punishments that were inflicted on Muslim believers in this village, writes A2 CNN. While the headman of Dragostunja says that this village has been like this for centuries, fanatically preserving the fact that it is a 100 percent Muslim village.
Dragostunja today has 3 mosques for 1200 inhabitants and, according to the latter, another mosque is expected to be built, also with their contribution.
