This summer's high temperatures are having their effects even in cities that are considered cooler, such as Korça.

In the southeastern city's polyclinic, visits to dermatologists have increased significantly these days, with citizens presenting with various concerns.

"We always have cases of increased skin problems during the summer. And this is observed in the entire population, because the dermatologist covers young people, children and the elderly. We notice skin infections in young children, allergy problems or contact dermatitis in young people, as exposure and exacerbation of problems of chronically ill people in older ages increase. On average, we have 20, 30, 40 visits per day, it depends...", Laura Ramonllari, a dermatologist in Korça, told A2 CNN.

The doctor also provides advice to the population, especially during hot days.

"As little exposure as possible, not in uncontrolled places, hygiene should be increased in these cases, we should be careful and protect ourselves from the peak of ultraviolet rays, so it is not recommended to go out from 11:00 to 16:00", added Dr. Ramonllari.

Doctors also appeal to patients to be careful with the preparations they use on their skin in cases where they are not recommended by specialist doctors. (A2 Televizion)
