After a season without football, Etrit Berisha has found a team. The national team goalkeeper has returned to Sweden with Hacken FC, the country where he began his career as a professional.
It is not Kalmar, but Hacken, the new team that has acquired the services of the 36-year-old veteran. Left without first-choice goalkeeper Andres Linde due to injury, the Scandinavians have set their sights on Berisha, who has been without a club since leaving Empoli last summer.
"I know Hacken well and I feel at home in Sweden. I know that Hacken has constantly made steps forward. That's why it was interesting for me to come here and help the club achieve new successes. I will try to help the young players. It's good for the club that I can share everything I've learned from international experience," said Berisha.
During his career, Etrit Berisha has played for Atalanta, Lazio, SPAL, Torino and Empoli in Italy. He has played 163 matches in Serie A, while he has played 80 times for the national team, also participating in the Euro 2016 and Euro 2024 finals.
