The 108th edition of the Giro d'Italia was presented in Rome, where the entire program and special itinerary that athletes will follow in one of the most important sporting events was explained.
The famous race with a tradition of over 100 years has selected our country as the destination for its launch in 2025. The world's best cyclists will pedal in Tirana, Durrës and Vlora, in the first three stages and will be followed by hundreds of millions of viewers in a broadcast on over 200 television stations around the world.
The first three stages of the 'Giro D'Italia' will take place from May 9 to 11, 2025.
On the first day, the distance that the cyclists will cover is 164 kilometers. The start will be in Durrës, to pass in the direction of Bishqem Fushë, Papër, Gracen and then to describe the road that leads to Surrel and the entire Dajti mountain and then return to Tirana.
On the second day, the force should be even greater as it is a time trial race with a length of 13.7 kilometers. Starting in Tirana and finishing in Tirana. From "Skënderbej" square, the main streets of the city will be traversed.
Everything will culminate on the third day where the athletes will have the opportunity to enjoy the stunning landscapes of the city of Vlora and beyond. On May 11, the cyclists will depart from Vlora and will cycle a large part of the southern coast before heading to the Llogora Pass, Orikum and finally to Vlora.
This edition includes everything: two individual time trials, six stages for sprinters, eight stages in medium-altitude mountains and five in high mountains, while the grand finale will be in Rome on June 1. (A2 Televizion)
