The Minister of Health in North Macedonia, Arben Taravari, revealed in the "Weekend Diary" with Erion Dushi on A2 CNN, details of the health condition of around 200 people who were injured in the fire that broke out at the discotheque in Kocani, where 59 others lost their lives.

"These days, up to 200 patients have been treated. Yesterday, 14 patients were discharged for home treatment. There are currently 54 patients in Skopje clinics. And 115 patients are being treated abroad. Next week, we will slowly see improvement in patients who are abroad. Starting next week, we will gradually start releasing some patients for home treatment in Macedonia and accepting 5 to 10 patients who are abroad," said Taravari.

He further explained that fortunately the number of critically injured people who were at risk of losing their lives has dropped to only 6, down from 21 at the beginning of the week.

Taravari also explained that over the next week some patients will return from the countries where they were transported to receive specialized medical treatment.

"On the first day, Sunday, I said that 21 patients were in a serious health situation, where they were practically on the border, whether they would live or die. Fortunately, today I am saying that only 6 patients are in critical condition. 15 of them are in stable condition and out of danger to their lives. We are following them and receive information twice a day from the countries where the patients are located. Fortunately, about 30 patients have come out of intubation and will return to Macedonia next week, where their follow-up by doctors will continue. This week we are expecting 5-10 patients from Spain, Sweden, Italy and Belgium. By Friday, we will return them to Macedonia and we will continue their treatment here. Over 50 patients will return in a month, but those who are a little more seriously ill will continue abroad for up to 2-3 months," said Taravari.
