Today's protest against the visit of the president of the Special Court, Ekaterina Trendafilova, achieved its goal, showing that this court is unfair, racist and biased. This is what Asdren Shala, a member of the Presidency of the PSD in Kosovo, expressed in the Debate studio on A2 CNN. According to him, this court is out of the function for which it was created in 2015 and has Russian, Chinese and Serbian references and is opposed by the people of Kosovo.
"The protest shows that this court has a big problem; how to improve the image before the people of Kosovo who see it with skepticism and doubt. This court has a goal of keeping the KLA leaders in custody. The special court as a legal institution is said to be the court of the people of Kosovo, but the people of Kosovo oppose this court, which is outside its official domain for which it was created. In 2015, something else was proclaimed to us with principles of justice and a court with Russian, Chinese and Serbian references was completed. These visits are organized to make it normal".
He accused Prime Minister Kurti of arresting PSD activists and brought to attention the time of the opposition Kurti who was against the creation of this court, while today he cooperates closely with him.
"Kurti's government is also to blame for the arrest of PSD activists. Kurti used to say in the opposition that he wants to stop the court, but today he cooperates closely with the court. We are dealing with an anti-Albanian construct, and the Kurti government is doing very well with the argot".
Shala sees the absence of the leaders of the opposition and mainly the PDK in the protest because of the fear of arrests, lack of interest in the comrades of the war and because of the influence of Prime Minister Kurti.
"Unfortunately PSD is only against this injustice. The lack of leaders of opposition parties, perhaps this is the reason for the intimidation that the special court is doing in different ways in recent months, it has seen the arrest of former KLA soldiers and the fear that new arrests will follow. We have an opposition that is afraid and disinterested in the war comrades, especially PDK, and an opposition that is under Kurti's influence. We have called since a week ago not to see it as a PSD protest, but as a people's protest against injustice. Muddying of the KLA war". (A2 Televizion)
