Kosovo has expelled 26 foreign citizens from the country because, according to the Directorate for the Investigation of Trafficking in Human Beings, they worked as escorts in the country, writes KosovaPress.
During 2024, investigators handled 22 cases with the phenomenon known as 'Eskorta', where after monitoring websites and social networks, a total of 50 suspects were identified. Of them, 26 are women - 12 citizens of Colombia, 10 of Venezuela, two of Peru, one citizen of Turkey, one citizen of Ukraine and 24 male Kosovar citizens.
The persons involved in the "Eskorta" phenomenon were fined by the courts, while the foreign nationals were issued a deportation order and a three-year ban on entering Kosovo. For the implementation of the expulsion order measure, the Border Police has been assigned the competence.
The Kosovo Police thanks the citizens for their cooperation and expresses their commitment to continue fighting this phenomenon and other illegal cases. (A2 Televizion)
