The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has asked the Secretary General of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, to punish Serbia for the act of aggression against Kosovo, on September 24 in Banjska in Zveçan. After the meeting with Stoltenberg, Osmani said that if Serbia does not face punitive measures, it may again threaten security in Kosovo and the region.
"Serbia's responsibility on May 29 and September 24 must be addressed. Instead of extraditing the terrorists, it continues to support them. I warned that if the gang-led attackers of troops in May went unpunished it would encourage them to repeat attacks on a larger scale. They are the same people who attacked NATO, and who attacked the Kosovo police on September 24. If Serbia does not face any measures for these continuous attacks, it would be encouraged to attack Kosovo again and destabilize the Balkans. NATO's role in this direction is decisive, since Serbia remains a threat to peace in our region", said the president.
Referring to the local media, Osmani asked Stoltenberg to insist on the withdrawal of Serbian military troops along the border with Kosovo. (A2 Televizion)
