The possible withdrawal of the US from the KFOR mission in Kosovo is not only worrying Kosovo, but also Serbia. Serbian Prime Minister Miloš Vučević said that such a step could worsen security conditions in Kosovo, and warned that they would monitor the situation.
According to Vučević, based on the Kumanovo agreement, KFOR is responsible for the security of all citizens in Kosovo, especially when it comes to the Serbian community. He considered it unacceptable for the Kosovo Security Forces to replace KFOR in Serbian areas: "This is very dangerous for us and we do not know if America will distribute its armed forces differently in Europe. We will monitor and assess what this means in terms of the security of Serbia and Serbs in Kosovo."
The resigned Serbian Prime Minister also referred to the elections in Kosovo, saying that Albin Kurti will likely have a technical mandate for 6 months, since he does not have a majority. He condemned what he called Pristina's attempts to steal a mandate from the Serbian List, through the fake party, as Nenad Rasic calls it.
According to Vučević, all efforts are being made to take the tenth mandate from the Serbian List, as this way they will not need its consent to elect a Serbian minister in what he called the interim government of Pristina. (A2 Televizion)
