The Vetëvendosje Movement is trying everything to break the deadlock in the Kosovo assembly, except for fulfilling the demands of other parties.
The chairman of the constitutive session, Avni Dehari, proposed holding a secret ballot for the election of the speaker of parliament, Albulena Haxhiu. He requested that the vote be held by ballot. But this was followed by a strong opposition from other parties.
PDK leader Memli Krasniqi accused the Vetevendosje Movement of turning the Kosovo assembly into a circus. The Democratic League of Kosovo, through MP Hykmete Bajrami, also refused to participate in the secret ballot, while also warning that the procedures followed in the session would be sent for review to the Constitutional Court.
Dehari's request was also opposed by the AAK and the Srpska List. However, this session also ended in failure. Unlike previous times, no candidate for Speaker of the Assembly was proposed by the winning party of the elections, the Vetevendosje Movement. The composition of the members of the verification commission was not even approved in the session. (A2 Televizion)
