The Vetëvendosje Movement will attempt today for the tenth time to win the votes it is missing to elect the new speaker of the legislature from the February 9 elections.
Nine attempts so far have ended in failure, as former Justice Minister Albulena Haxhiu is failing to get the necessary 61 votes.
It has been proposed by the winning party of the elections six times, but not the last time, as the Vetëvendosje Movement requested through the chair of the session Avni Dehari that the vote be held in secret, but this did not find support after the preliminary formation of an ad-hoc commission to oversee this procedure failed.
For this proposal, out of the 110 deputies present in the hall, 56 voted, of which 55 were in favor, one was against, while the rest did not vote.
We remind you that the session for the constitution of the ninth legislature began on April 15 and did not end on May 1, so today from 10:00 there will be another continuation - for the tenth time, KosovaPress reports. (A2 Televizion)
