Footage has emerged of 40 deported migrants disembarking from the ship 'Libra' at the Port of Shëngjin.
The Italian ship Libra, with 40 migrants on board, arrived earlier today at the Port of Shëngjin, writes A2 CNN. After the migrants disembark, the ship will be donated to the Albanian state.
The ship departed from Brindisi on Friday morning. The 40 migrants will be placed in the Gjadri camp, which has been converted into a Repatriation Detention Center by decree of the Italian government.
These are citizens of various nationalities, who arrived in Brindisi in recent days and for whom the Italian government has arranged the transfer procedure to the facility they built in Albania.
The decision came after the approval of the March 28 decree, which allows the transfer not only of asylum seekers caught at sea, but also of irregular migrants, to whom the police commissioner has served the deportation decree and a judge has approved their stay in this center.
