Following the awarding of Prime Minister Edi Rama with the Israeli Presidential Medal of Honor, the Muslim Forum of Albania has called for a protest today. Under the slogan "Not in my name - Rally for Palestine", Muslims will protest today at 2:00 PM in front of the Parliament.
According to them, the decoration of "Prime Minister Rama by the President of Israel is not done in the name of Albanians, but in the name of the defense that the Prime Minister has made of the Gaza genocide."
They announce that the protest will take place "for the silence that Albania is keeping towards this massacre that is happening in Palestine."
A few days ago, Prime Minister Edi Rama was awarded the Presidential Medal of Honor by the President of Israel, Isaac Herzog. While receiving the award, Rama said that this is an honor for the example that Albanians gave to the world by not surrendering a single Jew, as well as religious and ethnic tolerance.
