The Ministry of Education and Sports, for the second consecutive year, has launched the information campaign “Studio in Albania”. This initiative, in collaboration with public universities in the country, aims to provide complete information to high school graduates on new study programs, international partnerships of Albanian universities, double degree programs and those in foreign languages. The campaign also emphasizes the promotion of teaching branches and programs that are in demand in the labor market.
The campaign will take place at EduLab, in an open conversation with students who have already chosen to study in Albania, as well as with university leaders.
Focusing on one of the most important reforms currently being implemented, the Minister of Education and Sports, Ogerta Manastirliu, in a conversation with the Rector of the Agricultural University of Tirana, Dr. Fatbardh Sallaku, and two students of this university, emphasized the importance of the campaign and the transformations taking place in higher education:
"Today at EduLab, in a different meeting and at an important moment for high school graduates who will choose to study in Albania. They have a diverse offer in our universities. The Ministry of Education, during this year, with the demand of higher education and based on the needs of the labor market and the strategic directions of our country, has continued to enrich the academic offer with new programs," said Manastirliu.
Focusing on one of the reforms currently being implemented at the Agricultural University of Tirana, Minister Manastirliu spoke about the concrete cooperation of this university with the BOKU University of Vienna:
"One of the transformative reforms taking place in higher education is what is happening today at the Agricultural University of Tirana with the BOKU University of Vienna, two universities that are already working through expertise and strategic support to reorganize the faculties and study programs of the Agricultural University of Tirana, unifying these programs with those of BOKU Vienna."
Also, Minister Manastirliu announced that the reform will continue in terms of dividing study programs into major and minor systems, in accordance with European standards, which allows students early profiling and flexibility in their academic formation:
"We will deepen the reform in higher education in those branches or systems that today the world and Europe have included in the study programs called major and minor, where regardless of the fact that you choose a branch of study, you can profile yourself in the first cycle of study in those profiles or specialties that allow you to obtain the necessary credits in one direction, but on the other hand not to leave aside the knowledge or understanding of the branch you have chosen", said Minister Manastirliu.
For his part, the Rector of the Agricultural University of Tirana, Dr. Fatbardh Sallaku, announced that the institution he leads has just completed a complete academic reform, moving from 31 study programs in the "bachelor" cycle to only 9 new programs, standardized and harmonized with the European higher education system.
The "Studio in Albania" campaign will continue in the coming days with informative and promotional discussions, to support high school graduates in making an informed decision about their academic future. (A2 Televizion)
