For several days, our country has been gripped by high temperatures, reaching 40 degrees.
The forced operation of equipment due to weather conditions resulted in a fire at the 110/10kv power transformer of the Ibë substation yesterday evening in Tirana.
But the fire brigade and the staff of the High Voltage Directorate of the Public Distribution System quickly extinguished the fire, minimizing the damage, while no personnel were injured.
For this reason, the shutdown of the Ibë substation affected the interruption of the electricity supply to the Bërzhitë, Mullet, Baldushk, Ibë and Krrabë areas.
In some of these areas, power was restored within a short time as a result of ring connections with other feeders coming out of the Farka substation.
Meanwhile, OSSH has increased the number of teams at the facility to act more quickly, committing to working non-stop until the early hours of the morning to fully resolve the breakdown.
Meanwhile, the OSSH has increased preparedness measures nationwide due to rising temperatures.
In some areas, the presence of fires has forced the Distribution System Operator to disconnect electricity as a necessary safety measure.
OSHEE Group asks for consumers' understanding regarding electricity outages, affected by natural factors, and states that it continues to be maximally committed to quickly resolving problems with the distribution network.
