A woman in her 60s was injured by gunfire this Wednesday, A2 CNN reports.
The incident is reported to have occurred in the village of Sulaj in Fier, around 2:00 p.m. The woman is known to be Suzana Mernica. She was riding a motorcycle with her son when the perpetrators approached her and shot her.
Police said that preliminary investigations suspect that the perpetrators are citizens AC, 66 years old, and AC, 23 years old, residents of Dërmënas (father and son), who have been declared wanted. A2 CNN was able to learn the names of the two suspected perpetrators, Afrim and Ali Cimili.
"Checkpoints have been immediately set up at the entrances/exits of the city of Fier and on the "Fier-Vlora" and "Fier-Lushnjë" axes. Also, the Police services continue combing the area, with the aim of locating and capturing the perpetrators. The investigation group is at the scene and, under the direction of the prosecutor, is working to clarify the circumstances of the incident, as well as to capture any evidence that will serve the investigation, with the aim of capturing the perpetrators," the police said.
