Gazment Bardhi, the chairman of the DP Parliamentary group, spoke in the Assembly of Kosovo, where a joint meeting with the Assembly of Albania took place.
He emphasized that the Albanian tradition requires you to advise your brother at home, because if you do it in public, you hurt, weakened, and this is a stab in the back.
"I could talk for a long time about what has happened in Albania during the last 10 years, but this is neither the place nor the occasion.
We have a tradition that I do not tell my brother criticism or advice in public, but we tell him when we are alone and in a low voice so that it is not heard outside. Because when criticism or advice is given to a brother publicly, it hurts him, weakens his position in the international arena and is a stab in the back to our brother, Kosovo.
The Albanian tradition loves that in the house of a brother, sister, friend, where we are all today, to behave with honor and respect and not to use it to settle accounts with the other guests. I have no desire to break this noble tradition of our people, even though one of my speakers tried to transfer our internal political debate to this honorable hall", said Gazment Bardhi in the Assembly of Kosovo.
