The Speaker of the Assembly of Albania, Elisa Spiropali, in the speech held in the Assembly of Kosovo, during the joint meeting of the two assemblies, said that "sooner or later it is clear that Kosovo will be one more flag at the headquarters of the UN and one more star on the European flag".
"I am originally from the coast of Labëria, I was born in Tirana, but at heart I am from Pristina and Prizren, and likewise, each of us is simultaneously from Durrës and Gjakova, from Drenica and Shkodra, from Korça and Peja. Because we are one blood and one language, one history and one culture. Deep emotion for this joint meeting between our two countries", Spiropali began her speech.
According to her, the unification of all Albanians is still too early to happen: "It would be good to meet all Albanians, with millions of them, but the problem is that it seems a bit early to achieve hyperunification. You have to wait, when you don't have the chicken, you have to eat another bird. But, you want this other bird to be very tasty today in this meeting. Albanians have shown unwavering determination to transform their society into a modern and European society".
Spiropali further added that "Kosovo is Albania's priority and the success of one also benefits the other".
"We are concerned that Kosovo has not yet acquired the status of a candidate country for membership in the European Union. Sooner or later it is clear that Kosovo will be one more flag at the UN headquarters and one more star on the European flag," Spiropali emphasized. (A2 Televizion)
