The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has stated that if it were not for the effect of criminal groups, the votes in the Durrës region could have been 80% in favor of the DP.
Berisha made the comments during a statement to the media, where he said that the Tropli criminal group has strongly influenced the Durrës district, which, according to the former prime minister, is also reflected in the number of votes for candidate Arkend Balla.
Berisha also said that what happened in Durrës also happened in other regions of the country, making the May 11 elections a national farce, writes A2 CNN.
