The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, declared that Saturday's protest will be a protest against censorship.
"The protest against censorship is approaching. It is a protest that has been extremely welcomed by pupils, students and young people, extremely! They consider censorship a brutal act directly against them. So, the stance towards Tik Tok is a stance of censorship. Because, I do not deny that smartphones have an impact on young people and children, in the sense of consuming more time than necessary. But, it is not Tik Tok as such. Everyone who has children knows that even before the Tik Tok application came out, the child preferred to navigate, navigate on the smartphone on Google and so on," said Berisha, writes A2.
"So, it is an act of revenge by Edi Rama against the criticisms made by young people. Keep one thing in mind. The young, by definition, can never have arrogance. This is the reason why young people do not like Edi Rama. They do not like him, they do not love him, no. Arrogant, they say. And, precisely for this reason he closes Tik Tok, because they criticize him, ironize him, mock him on Tik Tok. So, it is a terrible act of censorship, no one agrees with this. So, there will be a protest against censorship, of course related to the closure of Tik Tok," Berisha added. (A2 Televizion)
