"We present a project that Albania has never known before." This is what Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha said during the presentation of the "Alliance for a Greater Albania" coalition, as he took aim at Prime Minister Rama. In his speech, the Democratic Party leader accused Rama of having achieved nothing in 12 years of governance.
"We present a project, at first glance, a bit distant, Great Albania. But we present a project that is absolutely the most beautiful dream, of the day and not of the night, of every Albanian, of every patriot, of every working man, of every free man, of every man with dignity. What does the other side present? It presents lizards, toads, frogs, toads and now recently Kujtimi has stuck in his mouth, give him those mustaches because he goes crazy for them. Kujtimi, because you and I know him psychologically, you know the reason why he has them. But this is not the business of this meeting. So, a man who has governed for 12 years and cannot tell Albanians, cannot show Albanians an achievement? Is that possible? He cannot show them because those achievements that can be counted on the fingers of his hand are blackened by terrible thefts."
According to Berisha, Rama has deceived Albanians regarding salaries, pensions, electricity and water, while he also accuses the head of government of depopulation of young people.
"I can't mention successes because he has deceived Albanians about everything. He used to say 24-hour water, and now water is worse than ever. He used to say pensions, salaries, and now if the minimum pension increases by that much, Albania will fall into disaster. He doesn't mention the VAT on food that he would lower, even though prices have gone into the stratosphere. He can't mention anything, no promises, because they are all deceptions. But above all, our political forces are forces of national interest. Together we represent the national interest of Albanians. What does he represent? He represents one of the most vicious enemies of the nation in all times. He represents the man who, in 12 years of governance, expelled 45 percent of Albanians from Albania. That's why he was labeled the Pashiqi of Tirana."
Berisha did not forget to label the prime minister as the Serbian president's lackey and called for saving Albania from the anti-national danger.
"He represents the first person in Europe to impose sanctions on the independent state of Kosovo on behalf of Belgrade. Friends, anyone who has read history will find that Enver Hoxha wrote to Stalin: Comrade Stalin, we left Kosovo with Yugoslavia because it was safer with Yugoslavia. Our minds tell us that we did the right thing. Edi Rama left Kosovo with Vučić. Edi Rama became Vučić's hired hand. Two days ago, the State Department, Secretary Marco Rubio condemned Dodik. Edi Rama is silent as a blade of grass about his destabilizing acts. So, in this respect, we are dealing with saving Albania from a major anti-national danger that has rarely been seen in history, such as Edi Rama." (A2 Televizion)
