Democratic Leader Sali Berisha has accused Prime Minister Edi Rama of paying money to the New York Times against him.
Berisha made the comments through a statement to the media, where he said that this thing backfired on Rama, as according to him, President Donald Trump's campaign strategist (already contracted by the DP), stated to the New York Times that he went to Albania to continue Trump's work to make Albania great again.
The former Prime Minister also said that LaCivita stated to the American daily that Edi Rama is simply a puppet of George Soros and that the accusations against Sali Berisha are purely political.
Excerpt from Berisha's speech:
Edi Rama is the most stigmatized man today. He is the most stigmatized prime minister in Europe as a puppet of George Soros.
Two days ago he paid, himself or through others, 150 thousand, which is how much that space in the New York Times against me might have cost.
It backfired. That yesterday, one of the two chief strategists of the most magnificent, most extraordinary comeback in history, the comeback of Donald Trump, declared to the New York Times that I went to Albania to continue Donald Trump's work to make Albania great again. And that Edi Rama is simply a puppet of George Soros and that the accusations against Sali Berisha are truly political.
Karma is as he wants it.
