Despite the Democrats considering the election process an electoral farce, their commissioners have signed the summary tables of results domestically without contesting them.
A2 CNN asked the state election commissioner, Ilirjan Celibashi, whether members of the CEAZs had any claims about the domestic result, which managed to produce 82 mandates for Edi Rama out of the 83 that the socialists received in total. “For the domestic vote, to my knowledge, there is no dispute about the content of the result tables,” he said.
The electoral farce, for the Democrats, is even more pronounced with the process of voting from abroad, especially in Greece. The CEC had officially responded to these accusations, where among the arguments was the fact that the opposition had the opportunity to monitor the entire voting process, from the arrival of the ballots at the airport, to their counting – an argument that Celibashi repeated out loud. “I guarantee that everything that happened inside the country enjoys complete integrity,” he said.
It remains to be examined the claims related to the extent to which the integrity of the voting process was respected in the receipt of the ballot and its return.
The press conference was also used to announce that the CEC's electronic platforms were under cyberattack during the election days, which was repelled. (A2 Televizion)
